Is this cot/crib too over the top?

That is lot of pink. I don't like it. But I have never been a fan of pink and I have two girls. If it pleases you then that is what is most important. But if he doesn't like at all then you should reconsider as he will have to see it a lot too. So you should consider a compromise.
