Can i patch a dinghy puncture with a bicycle repair kit?

don't mock me - yet! I've just bought a secondhand Bombard AX2 inflatable dinghy, and it has a small pinprick on the top of one of the tubes/ Air isn't pouring out due to its size, but it is escaping (can feel the air on my cheek from it). Can a simple bicycle repait patch do the job for now, or will this cause more harm than good. And due to the high pressure of the tubes, will it work anyway?
