Hey my friends and I wanted to have a small friendly party, and we were looking for small cheap lights (that work) like a small disco ball with colors and stuff. Nothing to expensive! I live in the bay area in California and I would prefer to buy the lights at a store and not have to buy online. Any suggestions of places I could visit? Kitchen decor and color ideas

I have an old kitchen from the 1920's/1930's that I want to redo. I don't have the money to get really modern cabinets/counters and all that. I am simply having a new wood look floor installed. The only cabinets are a small section of painted old style, from floor to ceiling, cabinets with gl doors on the top part, which I love. The room size is 13' x 14' with 9' ceilings. I have a lot of woodwork because there are two windows and four doorways and the cabinets in the room. So far I have primed everything and my dilemma now is a color scheme. At first I was thinking all white walls and woodwork for a bright and fresh look and add color with new curtains and decorations, etc.. But now I need ideas, because I just can't decide. I tend to like an old fashioned or country look. I dont want to stain, I want to used only paint. Anyone have any ideas? My light in the kitchen is punched tin and my kitchen set is the farm table style. My floor will be an oak color (fake wood) laminent. Also, if anyone knows of any websites that can give me ideas, that would be great too. I get country home magazine but it hasn't been too helpful. My livingroom that leads into my kitchen has a country decor with tans, burgundy and black. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

i have heard that you may run into a problem when shooting commercial .308 in old military rifles chambered for 7.62 nato. is the same true when shooting 7.62 nato in a rifle chambered for .308 win. from what i have read the main problem is case stretching in the longer chambered military rifles and the case failing. i do not believe from what i have read i will have a problem in a short chambered rifle designed to use .308. if anyone has anything to add please let me know i am just wanting to confirm my thought and make sure i have fully understood what ihave read about the ammo.

Very high bun/creatinine ratio?

My daughter blood test shows a bun/creat ratio of 60 and I'm concerned. Her creatinine was low... .1 which I expect as she has spinal muscular atrophy ..... bun was 6. rbc was low lymphs high at 76 and neutrophils low at 17. She did need to fast prior to test, but since she has a gtube she did receive water during the night, so my concern is not hydration. I'm still waiting on her dr's call and will be seeing her next week. I never take a wait and see attitude with my childs health and have had to push her doctors from time to time. I am very concerned with her ratios and any info or advice I can take to her dr will be helpful

Sick dog:-(?

My dog all of a sudden got sick this morning. She was fine first thing but a while later she threw up her food, then every once in a while, she'd throw up like a yellowish thick liquid. Seems a bit weAk, I took her outside and she still fetches toys and runs normal. She has not had diarrhia. She is pretty up to date on her shotS. I have to take her soon to get her 2nd set. out of frustration? I work at a electronic waste processing center and the amount of thrown cellphones I see (noticable by display crack patterns, paint smudges, plaster/sheetrock material and chips of wood wedged in between crevices of the cellphone) is pretty interesting. We get about 2 containers (about 70,000 lbs) of just cellphones coming in every month and I sift through them all day long and notice this type of thing. Of course, the vast majority are just obsolete phones but the ones that have character (damages, stickers etc) interest me. So tell me, have you ever commited a violent fatal act against your cellphone?

Connecting one phono output to two inputs?

Im trying to connect a dj mixer to an amp with phono leads and also to a microphone plug with a 3.5mm jack to phono cable. Trouble is I cant find any splitter cables (1 phono pair to 2 phono pairs) anywhere. I want to do it to record mixes but at the moment I have a choice, either plug the mixer output straight into the mic plug and lose the speakers or plug them into the amp and lose recording. Ohkay, i need a moral help...?

i have become an addict...i had kept in mind to lose weight, winding up becoming 11 kgs underweight for my height, and became so by eating bare quantities of food and excercising like mad for 6 months...and now i am putting on weight cos i was almost dead by the end of the weight loss program which i did without proffesional consultation, and now i need to concentrate on my studies and i find that i am again becoming worried and 24x7 anxious abt the 11 kgs i have put on...feel guilty and depressed and stressed all the time, i even have sinus problem, head keeps aching, my bones ache, still i keep worrying abt losing weight...i maintain my excercises....i walk briskly for 1 and a half hrs daily incl. sundays, and still i am not able to lose weight, i consume 1000 - 1100 calories, but still...i just want to concentrate on my studies...my weight is 66 and my height is 5'8", and i am in the 12th grade, 16 yrs old....i want some remedy to divert my mind to other important things...please say something, that will boost up my concsience and that i really am able to concentrate on my studies...please help me...i am on the verge of tears and feel suicidal all the time...please help me.

Why did the fuse receptacle for my blower fan melt in my 190E 2.6?

Ok I bought a 190E a year and a few months ago, and only when I got around to trying the HVAC controls inside the car did I notice nothing was going so I read up on it and checked and there was a fuse missing from the wiring harness for the blower fan, which does it all, the A/C, the vent, and the front heater and defrost. I get some appropriate fuses at Napa and then it all worked fine for many months, until the fuse blew, oh well a box of them costs well under $5 and that is cheaper than a mechanic ripping the car apart to see what the matter is. So on I went, popping in a new fuse every couple of months or so when the last one blew until about a few months ago when the fuse holder made itself so melted and corroded that the fresh fuse couldn't complete the circuit. Since then I have been getting by with letting the manual pressure of the air as I drive blow fresh air into the car, but as the weather gets bad out here again, I am definitely going to need my defrost and heater back soon enough. I am sure when I get the time I can replace that fuse holder DIY but what makes it do this in the first place?

when i was 16 i was complaining about back pain and i kept thinking i was having a heart attack because every night for about 3 years i was having major heart burn feelings...after tons of tests they told me i have about 10 gall stones and was rushed to the emergency room where they removed my gall bladder because it was extremely close to bursting, and i guess it was probably one of the ugliest looking inflamed gall bladder they have ever seen. when i was 17 (only like 4 months later) i was at my beach house with a friend and my parents took the dog for a walk and i ended up calling them having hem rush back because i was throwing up holding my side unable to move. Once we decided to go to the hospital they told me my appendix was also very inflamed and needed to be removed. So now i have 7 holes on my belly! weirdly the 3 from my appendix are one on my belly on..one down below the belt..and the other on my left lower side which is strange because most people i know that have had the same procedure have it on the right side. Now only 5 months later my left side is once again killing me...feels like bad cramps..its the lower left side once again!!!...my dad is saying its probably just because my muscles are healing because it is right under the scar. I am not sure though because its been like 5 months i had the surgery in June. so if anyone has any idea what else is wrong please let me know...i feel like crap but our insurance is crazy high and my parents dont really understand when i say im in pain so if anyone has problems like that please let me know!!!

How do you make vegetarian stuffing for thanksgiving?

My 4-year-old son does not want to go out for any outings with us. He is very sharp, very vocal, very observant, doing pretty good in school, not introvert at all, interacts with everyone known to him, and tries to make friends with unknown. He used to love going out with us about 2-3 months back and in fact used to pester me to take him to malls or other places. however for the past 2 months he does not want to leave home. He comes up with excuses (very intelligent ones) for not going. If i present a situation to him indicating that he would have to come with us as there will be no one at home (so that he comes with us), by telling him that my parents have to go somewhere, the maid has to go on leave and we have to go to his favorite mall, he will come up with alternatives and refuses to leave home. His only outing apart from his school has been limited to the park where he loves to go and wants to go. He also does not want to go to any other park apart from his usual one. Our offers for ice-cream and chocolate, McDonalds (anything) too does not make him come with us, nor does he wants to go out with my parents. Can i patch a dinghy puncture with a bicycle repair kit?

I've just bought a secondhand Bombard AX2 inflatable dinghy, and it has a small pinprick on the top of one of the tubes/ Air isn't pouring out due to its size, but it is escaping (can feel the air on my cheek from it). a loud noise must have hurt him or scared him and it's leaving lasting marks on him so he's scared every time he hears a loud noise. I suggest every time he gets scared over a loud noise tell him it's ok and comfort him. Let him know it's safe and it's just a noise. Bring the vacuum near him not turned on and let him see it and say it's ok. Give him a treat when he doesn't get scared as positive reinforcement and distract him or keep him happy while a loud noise is taking place while telling him good boy etc. Don't force him to feel ok though if he's still really scared. Your dog has to get over the fear himself and forcing it on him may just traumatize him more, be patient

Abscessed teeth with drainage and calcification.?

I have been with my husband 5 years, married for two. Generally we have had a great reationship, the usual bickering and arguing but nothing major. We have a good life, are financially secure and have great friends. Things changed at the beginning of the year when beause of other committments we stopped seeing each other so much - it was mainly due to my work as I had a lot of overtime, he works shifts and only has one weekend off in four. Our conversations seemed mainly to be about the house and mundane stuff like that. I felt the intimacy was going a little and decided to put in some effort to spend quality time together, but he just didn't seem interested. I kept trying but then in April when we were away for a weekend I found messages on his phone to a work colleague - one telling her he missed her and the othe r saying that he'd been trying to call her from a phone box. I was devastated and confronted him about them. He was adamant they were only texting and talking, and it started because he felt we had lost our 'spark'. After a couple of weeks thinking I decided I did not want to throw away my marriage if we could get it back on track and I really wanted to try. But he decided he didn't want to and said he had decided there might be someone better out there for him. He's stuck to that since and I'm now in the process of buying a house and moving out. I feel competely shellshocked by it all, and don't understand how he can just throw away a marriage like it was nothing and didn't require any effort. He has always had a very easy life and had everything provided for him - I feel he just thinks that if a relationship takes effort it can't be right. But surely a bit of effort is going to be needed after 5 years? I feel very ashamed that we have split up so early on, but know that I can't force him to be committed. I've done my best to just get on with my life, but now other guys are showing an interest in me he doesn't like that either! Should I be patient and hope that he's going to regret what he's done? Athletes are also accustomed to dealing with a certain amount of pain while they are training or competing, and don't always speak up about it until something bad happens. They may also suspect a problem, but hope it will go away if it's ignored, just like most people. There are many reasons why this can happen, none of them wonderful though. Sometimes it is a combination of a minor undetected defect that is aggravated by things like drugs and the stress of the athletic training/competition. What would have never been a problem gets pushed into becoming one. And of course, sometimes there is just a natural weakness to begin with. It's always a shame, but unfortunately one of those things which do happen. Fortunately, not so often, but always a loss.

I have been working on my sit ups for a while now. I can't seem to get p the point where I can do fifty in a minute. I would like to get to where I can do 60 or seventy in a minute. My muscle in my hips just give out after about 50. What can I do to improve my hip strength to where I can achieve my goal? What would be some good exercises. Would squats be good? Cupcake themed 1st Birthday?

I am a little ahead of the game, but hey, I'm excited. I am planning my daughter's first birthday party in a cupcake theme and am trying to think of some cute ideas to incorporate. My freezer evaporator coils are frozen and the FF section is warm. What is the problem?

The Fresh Food Section of my Whirlpool Fridge (model GS6SHEXNS00) is warm and not getting any cold air through the distribution vent from the freezer section. I noticed that the freezer coils were frozen. The condenser fan is working, the evaporator fan is working, the condenser coils have been vacuumed. I defrosted the evaporator coils manually with a hair blow dryer. At this point, I'm looking at diagnosing 2 suspect parts (the defrost heater, the defrost thermostat) with an Ohmmeter. Am I missing anything?

Babies schedules change, it's not because of one night or anything. I don't think your supposed to give them water at 10wks?? Their stomach's are only so big, so you can really only feed them so much formula, you can't "overstuff" them, they'll just spit up the extra, and maybe get a stomach ache. Talk to your doctor, but I don't think they are truely on schedule for a little while, well they're on their own schedule anyway!

So I'm an avid runner. Unfortunately on February 6th 2010 I went sledding and injured myself. What i did precisely was i think the impact with my tail bone on the ground was messed up and I messed up some muscles. It's still hurting till today. I ran the past two days, and four miles each day. I lived through it.I want to get into top racing condition. Do you think this pain will just go away and I should run through it? My boyfriend is the sweetest guy I have ever met. The problem is he keeps things from me until he eventually has a meltdown. We have talked about this over and over again, me telling him he can tell me things, anything, just don't keep it from me. Yesterday I made a birthday cake for him and a party, spent a week planning it.and when he arrived he looked miserable, I didn't even get a smile. He wouldn't tell me why, he just kept on saying he loved it, he doesn't know what I am talking about. Then last night he admitted that he knew I was doing a surprise thing for him and he felt like crap about his life(careerwise) that day, and didn't want to tell me. So I went that entire day feeling sad because I thought he hated what I did. I broke up with him for not caring about my feelings and only his own. Then today I got back together because I love him and I just want him to tell me things. Found out his dad verbally abused his mom for years, and I'm afraid my boyfriend might start, if this isn't it already. Situations like this have happened over and over again, and it doesn't matter what I say.

we have a 93 infiniti j30 and we had a mechanic fix the head gasket, the intake (something) and the exhaust gasket ( or something like that) and he fixed the timing belt and the part that actually turns the belt... anyway we tried to start it but it didnt start! Why do Black Americans like to bash Africans?

The AA family structure is bent out of shape. That is the foundation and it has been shaken for many generations. However, I would like to see our young people take trips to 3rd world countries and get a sense of real hard living. African Americans are rising despite the racism endured in this country. It's a bit hypocritical that you can understand the differences in the conditions in Africa vs.America- but can't seem to wrap your mind around the differences from state to state in America. I have seen that myslef- being that I've lived in different states. Some places might as well be a 3rd world country. The living conditions can be bad, and just like not everyone in your country makes it out- you can't expect that all AA are faced with great opportunities. God forbid if it's a young man with a felony. Life is almost over.

What is the proper lubricant for the loading bolt on an Airsoft sniper rifle gun?

Ugh! I saw I fan video online of an anime I don't don't know what it is!?

I saw this fan video of this one anime on Youtube. I have no idea what the plot is or what its called, I just watched it and then forgot all about it and now I want to check it out! There was a boy who was aparently part cat. He had ears sprout out from his head in some of the scenes. He had blue hair and his eyes were smaller than most japanese anime boys would be, I'm speculating that MAYBE he was a foriegner? Phlegm is still stuck in my throat for a month now?

Im only 13 and I think like a month ago I had a mild cold and you know how it is. The stupid drainage and stuff. Well, I don't think I should be STILL having phlegm stuck in my throat for over 2 weeks so it have been almost a month. I've made something very similar for snacks. I'd fill the cherry tomatoes with garlic chive cream cheese. If you added some crumbled bacon and chopped green onions, that might be close. Or, if you want ranch, make the dip with sour cream instead of making the dressing. Either way, I'd eat them!
